Frances Woodruff Holds Book Signing

The Winston County Library was pleased to host Louisville author and historian Frances Woodruff for a book event this past week. He new book is “They Wore Gray: Confederate Soldiers of Winston County. “The book is the result of years of research by Frances,” said Librarian Beth Edwards. “She spent so many hours in the Courthouse, at the Archives in Jackson and tramping through almost every public and private cemetery in Winston, and Choctaw counties.” Many descendants of fallen soldiers shared letters and old photographs that can be seen in the book.
