September 17-23 is the Nanih Waiya DAR Chapter’s annual Constitution Week Project. Mayor Will Hill will be signing a Constitution Week Proclamation for 2023. There will be a table set up in the library celebrating our Constitution. DAR ladies will be presenting a Constitution Week program for the 5th grade classes in 5 or 6 schools in our county and in Ackerman. There will be close to 400-500 students that will hear about the founding of our country and the Constitution. The ladies will have handouts to leave with the children as well as word puzzles, a copy of the Preamble, and a flag bookmark. This is a yearly project to teach the community about our founding fathers and the Constitution.
